Tasks

Establish Tasks

Tasks are combinations of three things, Collection Points, Processes and Distribution Points. Once configured, Tasks can be created and scheduled to be automatically executed by DocuBreeze. A Task tells DocuBreeze where to get files, what to do with them, and where to put them when it is done.

IMPORTANT: Before you create Tasks, you must have established Collection Points/Groups, Distribution Points/Groups, and at least one Process.

  1. From the Navigation Bar, select TASKS > STANDARD TASK > NEW.
  2. Enter a Name for the Task. Required.

  1. Enter a task Description (Helpful, but not required).
  2. Choose a Collection Group or a Collection Point. Required.
  3. Choose a Process Type: Move, Copy, Image Process, OCR Process or Keyword Process. Required.
  4. Choose a Process from the drop down menu and Transport Type if necessary for the process chosen. Required.
  5. Choose a Distribution Point or Group. Required.
  6. Click SAVE to save the task. A completed “Create a Task” screen is shown here.

Edit or Delete Tasks

    1. Select TASKS > STANDARD TASKS > EDIT/DELETE.
    2. You are brought to the “Search” screen. Enter criteria for a search and then click SEARCH.
    3. Select the Task you would like to Edit.
    4. Edit: Change any information and resave. The only information that cannot be changed is the Name. Click SAVE.

    5. Delete: To Delete, click DELETE. If there are any conflicts that prevent you from deleting the Task, they must be resolved before you can continue.
