Job Scheduler

Schedule a New Task

Once tasks are established, DocuBreeze will run them automatically. You will use the “Scheduler” function to set the times and dates.

  1. To schedule a task, select TASKS > SCHEDULER > NEW.
  2. This brings you to the “Job Scheduler” screen, which has three areas: Job Type, Scheduler and Summary. Enter information as described below.

  1. Job Type
    1. Set job priority in the drop down menu to High, Medium or Low.
    2. Choose a Job Type: Run Task or Scan for Bar Code at Collection Point or Group.
    3. Once selected, each Job Type gives you access to a drop down menu to choose the appropriate setting: Task, Collection Point, or Group.
  2. Scheduling
    1. Today’s date is the default Start Date. Set the Start date you want by selecting the year, month, day, hours, minutes and a.m./p.m. from the drop down menus.
    2. Click“Specify to enable the Expire feature. Set the Expiration date for the job when you want it to stop running. The date you choose must be after the Start date. When this date is reached, the Task will no longer be executed by DocuBreeze.
    3. Set Run Time to: Run Continuously, Run X Times, or Custom. If you click Run X Times, enter the number of times in the field provided. If you click Custom, a separate browser window opens with additional settings.
      1. Select Recurrence Type (minute, hour, day, week, month, year).
      2. Enter a numerical Repeat Value.
      3. Set End After to either the expiration date or a specified number of times. You must enter an amount if you want to specify how many times to run the Task.

  3. Summary. The summary screen is used when you edit scheduled tasks.
  4. Click SAVE to save the task scheduling.
  5. Your task will run as scheduled, automatically, with nothing further for you to do. It will also stop running when you specified, if you specified an expiration time for the task.
