Points > Archive
Create a New Archive Distribution Point
- From the navigation menu, select DISTRIBUTION
> POINTS >
ARCHIVE > NEW.
- This brings you to the Archive Distribution Points” screen,
where you will enter information for a new Archive Distribution Point.
The fields include:
- Name: A Name for the Distribution Point, which can be the
same as the name of the Archive. E.G., “Doc Archive (private).”
Required.
- Description: A description of the Distribution Point. For example,
“Sensitive Documents.”
- Path: Click the Browse Folder (to the
right of the field)to browse to the folder in the archive that you
are setting as a Distribution Point. Click on the archive folder in the left
pane (Public, for example) and then double-click on the Distribution Point
folder in the right Archive window pane. This will identify the path to your
new Distribution Point. Required.
- Add to Group(s): You can add this point to an existing group now,
without having to access Distribution Groups, or wait until later.

Note: To select multiple Distribution Points, hold
down the <Ctrl> key and select the desired locations.
Edit or Delete an Archive Distribution Point
- Select DISTRIBUTION
> POINTS > ARCHIVE
> EDIT/DELETE.
- You are brought to the “Search” screen. Enter criteria for
a search. Click SEARCH.
- Select the Distribution point you would like to Edit from the search results.
- Edit: To Edit a Distribution Point, change any information (except
the name) and click SAVE.
- Delete: To Delete the Distribution point, select it and click
DELETE.
Note: Conflicts preventing deletion of a Distribution
Point are identified, and must must be resolved before you can perform a Delete.
