Distribution Groups

Distribution Groups are sets of Distribution Points that can be used together when creating Tasks. DocuBreeze is able to send files to each of the Points in a Distribution Group.

Create a New Distribution Group

  1. Select DISTRIBUTION > GROUP > NEW.
  2. This brings you to the “Distribution Groups” screen, where you define the new Distribution Group. A description of the fields is listed below.

  1. Name: The name of the Distribution Group. Example: “Konica Minolta Ad Distribution.”
  2. Description: A description of the Distribution Group. For instance, “Processed, Printed Files.”
  3. Available Distribution Points: This list includes all existing Distribution Points. To add a Distribution Point to the Distribution Group, select it and click on the right-pointing arrow.

IMPORTANT: If you do not see a device that you would like to include in a group, click here for instructions on creating distribution points.

  1. Select a Distribution Point from the “Available Distribution Points” box.
  2. Click the right-pointing arrow to add the Distribution Point to the “Chosen Distribution Points” box. Repeat as desired.
  3. Click SAVE to save the Distribution Group.
  4. You may also add points to Groups directly from the Distribution Point forms. Click here for more information on Distribution Points.

Edit or Delete a New Distribution Group

    1. Select DISTRIBUTION > GROUPS > EDIT/DELETE.
    2. You are brought to the “Search” screen. Enter criteria for a search. Click SEARCH.
    3. Select the distribution group you would like to Edit from the list displayed.
    4. Edit: To Edit the distribution group, change any information and resave. Note that the name cannot be changed. Click SAVE.

    5. Delete: To Delete the distribution point, click DELETE.

Note: Conflicts preventing deletion of the distribution group are identified, and must must be resolved before you can perform a Delete.
