Run a QuickTask

DocuBreeze provides two formats for QuickTasks: the MFP Panel format and the Standard format. The version of QuickTask, to which you have access, is set in your user profile. A Quick Task can be run at the MFP panel, or at the PC, if you have the Quick Task Wizard enabled. The Standard Quick Task gives you a choice to run an existing Task or a Custom task. Click here for information on editing your user profile preferences.

Run a QuickTask using iOption

Konica Minolta MFPs can be enabled to offer web access directly from the MFP panel, allowing you to run Quick Tasks from the scanner/printer. The LK-101 iOption License Kit must be installed. MFPs offering iOption also require Firmware Level 3, Version 88. Some of the MFPs that may be used to run a quicktask include the 421, 601 and c353.

If your MFP has an iOption Kit installed, go to the MFP Panel, example shown below, and press User Box. (on some MFPs the button may be named Application). On the panel, select web browser.

When the web browser gets to the Internet, press the Address button in the toolbar at the top of the screen. In the dialog box, similar to the drawing below, enter the URL for your DocuBreeze application, and press OK.

This will take you to a DocuBreeze Login screen. Enter your username and password, and press OK to open the MFP Panel version of the DocuBreeze Welcome Page.

Touch the QuickTask icon to go to Step 1: Collection.

Click the Select button to choose either Scan or User Box as the location from which you will Upload a file. You can upload files from your user box on the MFP or you can scan the file directly into the task. If you chose User Box, click on the file(s) to be uploaded and then on the appropriate Action, either File Settings (for a single file) or Combine (for combining multiple files in the user box). Once the File Settings have been set, click Start to upload the file. The file can be Renamed before continuing. Click Next.

Note: Uploading files at the panel on MFP models c652, c552, c360, c280, and c220 is not currently supported.

Step 2: Process. Select Copy, Move or Process. A choice of Process opens a list of Processes defined in DocuBreeze. After choosing Copy, Move, or a Process from the list, click OK to go to Step 3: Distribution.

For Step 3, select a Distribution Point or Group. To choose multiple locations select the point or group in the drop-down list and click Add. When you have identified all of the Distribution locations, click OK. A screen will display the three steps you chose to confirm your QuickTask, and the Run button will be enabled. After running the job, a confirmation screen will let y ou know that the task ran successfully.

Refer to the drawing and list below for descriptions of the actions performed using the icons on the final screen.

Run a Quick Task Wizard on a PC

Most users will not run the Quick Task Wizard from their PC, but it can be done. The screens look slightly different than they do at an MFP, but they perform the same steps. Login to DocuBreeze and go to Tasks > New. If your QuickTask Preference is set to MFP Panel, Step 1 will look like the screen below.

Click on the Browse button to Upload a file to DocuBreeze. Select the file and click Open. You can optionally Rename the file before you continue processing, by clicking on the button and entering the new name. Click Next.

For Step 2, choose the Process to be performed on the file(s).

For Step 3, select a Distribution Point or Group. To choose multiple Distribution Points, select the point in the drop-down list and click Add. When you have identified all of the Distribution locations, click OK. When all steps are correct, click Run.

If the process was successful, you will receive notification on the screen. Click the X to exit, or one of the other icons to go back.
