Route a Document

DocuBreeze enables you to establish routing patterns for sets of files. In this way, your documents are transported to their intended locations automatically. This section assumes that devices and points have already been created by your System Administrator.


Create a Task

  1. To route files, select TASKS > STANDARD TASK > NEW.
  2. Routing files is a Moving process, from a Collection Point/Group to a Distribution Point/Group.
  3. Name the Task in the space provided.
  4. Choose the Collection Point or Group from which you want to route files. To route files in a onetime-only task, use the QuickTask function.
  5. Select Move from the Process Type drop down menu. The Process drop down menu will automatically update to include defined processes.
  6. Choose where to route your files to by selecting a Distribution Point or Group from the drop down menu. To route to a File Queue, use a QuickTask.
  7. Click SAVE.

Scheduler (Create a Job)

  1. To schedule the task so that it can be used many times, choose TASKS > SCHEDULER > NEW.
  2. This will display a blank Job ticket page.

  1. To run a saved Standard Task, mark the Run radio button and select the task from the drop-down menu.
  2. Use the options in the Scheduling box to set the date and time that you want the task to Start running.
  3. Define whether the task will run continuously, a specified number of times, or custom. (If you choose to run it a specified number of times, you must enter a number in the field provided. If you choose custom, click DEFINE, enter values for recurrence, repetition and ending in the pop up menu.)
  4. Click APPLY after these settings have been entered.
  5. Click SAVE to set the Task to run.
  6. The routing task will automatically be performed at the time specified.
